The 19th International Family Conference organized by IFFD in Mexico City (16-18 October) was attended by more than 1,800 delegates. These congresses have been held since 1976, resulting in remarkable growth in family-related activities in a great number of cities and countries across five continents and offer enriching and multicultural approaches to family life. During these congresses, participants attain and develop skills to promote Family Development programs. Moderators and those who wish to be team leaders or course coordinators receive training from those with more experience. Eighteen congresses have been held since IFFD’s inception. A meeting of the International Board, a meeting of the World Leaders of Family Enrichment and Courses for new Family Enrichment Moderators in different languages were also held during the previous days. The final Declaration emphasizes that families have a crucial role in social development and confirms the commitment to help families worldwide and to contribute to universal peace and respect of human rights through Family Enrichment Courses and other programmes.
