Inclusive Cities Meeting 2023

The third technical meeting of the Inclusive Cities Project was held in Torun (Poland) on May 31st and June 1st. The representatives of the signatories cities and regions presented the best practices achieved during the past year. European Expert Group Meeting 

IFFD organized on May 29-30, together with other organizations, an Expert Group Meeting (EGM) in preparation for the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the International Year of the Family in 2024. Expert Symposium in Washington DC

On July 25th IFFD participated in the Expert Symposium  “Changing Demographics Can Result in Strengthening Families”, as a pre-event to the Global Intergenerational Conference. It was held in Washington DC and was convened as part of the preparations for the observance of the 30th Anniversary of the International Year of the Family in 2024.

‘First Steps’ course in Fortaleza (Brazil)

The first session of this course took place in Fortaleza (Brazil) on April 1st with the participation of 20 parents with their children. This program revolves around the main pedagogical frameworks and the basic habits that infants should acquire.

‘Personal Project’ course in Fortaleza (Brazil)

26 profesionals enrolled in the Personal Project Program and attended the sessions in Fortaleza (Brazil) on 25th April, taking on relevant aspects of their vital project such as professional career, relationships (friends, family and significant other) as well as their own personal growth. This program is a great platform for exploring these aspects of life.

22 youngsters enrolled in the Personal Project Program and attended the sessions in Sonora (Mexico), taking on relevant aspects of their vital project such as professional career, relationships (friends, family and significant other) as well as their own personal growth. This program is a great platform for exploring these aspects of life.

PIMOF program in Florianópolis (Brazil)

This course took place in Florianópolis on April 15th-16th with the participation of 25 parents with their children.

Workshop in Paris

The IFFD and the IPC – Facultés Libres de Philosophie et de Psychologie – organized an event with 60 students of the Faculty in Paris, to present the International Advocacy Workshop organized by IFFD next September.

International Day of Families 2023 – Observance at the UH HQ 

On May 15th, IFFD participated through several contributions in the official observance of the International Day of Families at the United Nations. As part of the preparations for the thirtieth anniversary of the International Year of the Family, 2024 (IYF+30), the 2023 in-person observance of the International Day of Families was focused on major demographic changes and their impact on families.

Side Event during The UN Commission on Population and Development

A Side Event on ‘Better population outcomes parenting education and new technologies’ was held on April 13th, at the United Nations headquarters during the Commission on Population and Development, organized by IFFD with the Permanent Mission of Malaysia.
