80 leaders from all over Brazil attended the ‘Convenção Nacional Instituto Brasileiro da Familia para lideranças 2025’ celebrated in São Paulo on March 15th-17th. The topic of this meeting was to discuss the state of art of IFFD’s programs in our 15 local centers. Javier Vidal-Quadras, IFFD’s Secretary General, participated on it reminding how important married life is in their lives.

On February 28th, EDUCHILD Foundation (the family enrichment center in the Philippines) sent three dedicated couple-volunteers to Surabaya, Indonesia, to conduct a facilitators’ training session. Promoted by IFFD, the Inclusive Cities for Sustainable Families Project organized on November 6-7th an online session to discuss the highlights of the Annual Monitoring Report, which will be submitted to the United Nations and explore better ways to follow-up on the Venice Declaration thanks to recommendations from Good Practices developed by various signatories around the globe.

On February 10th, the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, in collaboration with IFFD and other institutions hosted the side event “From Commemoration to Action: The IYF+30 Way Forward”. 32 parents enrolled in the ‘Adolescencia’ course and attended the sessions in Lima (Perú) in November. This program for parents with adolescens is a great platform to help them to reconcile a unique upbringing with the influence of friends and family, and channel their behavior on the basis of the human virtues.

Around 15 fathers attended the ‘The father’s role’ course celebrated in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) in November. This course is designed for fathers looking to enrich their familiar life. This first session was organized through discussion groups led by the moderators.

Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros, Governor of the State of Tlaxcala signed the Venice Declaration to promote public policies for the benefit of Tlaxcaltecan families. IFFD was represented by José Alejandro Vázquez Alarcón, Director of IFFD and Ignacio Socias, Advocacy Talent Adquisition of IFFD. Tlaxcala is the third state in Mexico to join this global call.
